TAPPING INSTRUCTIONS

 




General Points

1.  Side of Hand point is below the knuckle of pinky finger and above the wrist bone.

2.  Top of Head point, is in the center of top of the head or soft spot.

3.  Eye Brow points, at the beginning of the eyebrow, nearest the center of the face.

4.  Side of Eye points, on the bone at the end of the eyebrows.

5.  Under Eye points, on the bone under the eye even with the pupils.

6.  Under Nose point, mid-way between the bottom of the nose and the top of the lip.

7.  Chin point, in the indentation mid-way between the bottom of the lower lip and the chin, not directly on the chin.

8.  Collar Bone points, are located about one inch down and one inch over from the collarbone cup.

9.  Under the Arm point, about 4 inches below the armpit.

10.  Ribcage point, at base of breast directly down from the nipple.

11. Wrist point, located on the inside of each wrist.


Over the Heart point =

Soft spot above left breast, circle up and away from the body.

Tapping Instructions 

1. Bring to mind an incident or person or moment in time that triggers a charge. Tune into the emotion or physical sensation that got stimulated and identify it (ie: fear, anger, knot in my stomach, racing of my heart, etc).

2. Evaluate the intensity of the emotion or sensation on a scale from 0-10 then begin the tapping process as follows:

Over the Heart point

Say the Set Up phrase 3 times while circling the Over the Heart (oth) point (soft spot above left or right breast), circle up and away from the center of the body.

1. (Circle *oth) “Even though I have this ( feeling) , I deeply, completely and profoundly accept myself.” 

    Tap 11 General Points Saying Reminder Phrase:  “This__(feeling)___”

2. Now stop and take a breath. Re-visualize the incident or moment in time and tune into the feeling. If the same emotion or pain is still there, re-evaluate the intensity on a scale from 0-10 and move to step 3.

If the charge has changed to a different emotion, feeling or place in the body, go back to step 1 and begin with the new word that identifies it now.

3. (Circle *oth) “Even though I still have some of this remaining ( feeling) , I deeply, completely and profoundly accept myself.”


        Tap General Points Saying Reminder Phrase: 

       “This   remaining _(feeling)_____”


4. Stop - take a breath – re-visualise and tune into the feeling.


5. If some of the same emotion or feeling remains, re-evaluate and do another round of tapping adding the intensity level to the emotion or feeling. Example 

    (Circle *oth) “Even though I have this (“4” anxiety) , I deeply, completely and profoundly accept myself.”

        Tap General Points Saying Reminder Phrase: 

       “This  (“4” anxiety) “

6. If after several rounds you are still working with the same word and the intensity is not changing, re-visualize and ask yourself for another word or use the words “this feeling” using step 1.

7. At the end of any round of tapping, if you find your charge level is 0, you can move on to another issue or close the process by doing the Global Process below.

Global Process

With gentle pressure from your fingertips, circle the soft spot above the left or right breast as indicated in the diagram above. The motion is up and away from the body. While continuing to circle, say the following two sentences three times each:

1.(Circle *oth) “I deeply, completely and profoundly accept myself with all my faults, problems, and limitations.”

2.(Circle *oth) “I deeply, completely and profoundly accept myself with all my gifts, strengths and ability to love.”
